For many low income first-generation college students, the transition from high school to college can feel like navigating a foreign country. There are often financial hurdles, a lack of support and resources, or they simply don’t feel a sense of belonging.
Partnering with Beyond 12, my team at IDEO designed a digital coaching experience to support students in their journey through college.
In early 2015, this app became a finalist for the Robin Hood College Success Prize, funding an implementation phase. It is now in the hands of thousands of students around the country.
